Liz, E-RYT® 200, RYT® 500, YACEP®, is the owner of Shiva Yoga & Fitness.

A trauma-informed Yoga teacher with extensive training in Hatha, Vinyasa, Yin, Restorative, and Bikram Yoga, Liz has been studying Yoga since 2002 and completed her Bikram style Yoga teacher training in 2017. Before Yoga, she built a professional career in dance, studying classical ballet for 14 years before transitioning into contemporary dance. She also became a certified Pilates instructor in 2004.

Liz is passionate about teaching movement in all forms, believing deeply in the transformational and healing effects of Yoga and mindful movement. She teaches a wide range of offerings including group classes, posture clinics, breathwork, sound baths, guided meditation, anatomy, physiology, kinesiology, and yoga teacher trainings at the 200, 300, and 500-hour levels, as well as continuing education for certified teachers.

Known for her functional and technical approach, Liz meets students where they are — from complete beginners to experienced teachers seeking deeper understanding. With expert knowledge of biomechanics and movement, she designs classes that enhance strength, mobility, performance, and overall well-being while making movement accessible, approachable, and non-intimidating.

Liz’s teaching style combines depth of knowledge with warmth, creating a supportive environment where students feel empowered to explore movement, healing, and personal growth.
